About Me

This? This is me...I'm Johanna but most everyone calls me Jo. I'm a full time pharmacy technician who went to school and majored in Anthropology. Due to health issues and a horrific counseling experience, I chose the wrong major for my ultimate goal and ended up veering off course. 7 years ago I was given the opportunity to become a pharmacy technician and I haven't looked back. I look at it as a door that opened, one that I stepped through to become stronger. I love all things vintage and thrify. I've always loved walking through any goodwill I find, but lately i've started to focus on my collections and thrifting fab finds that I can fix up and restore or turn into something completely useable.
This is my family, they are my literal world. This is why I get up every morning and why I thrift to save pennies.
My daughter, S. She was a happy surprise, I didn't even know if I could carry a child at the time we found out we were pregnant. She is truly a miracle and my inspiration. Diapers are expensive. Baby and toddler clothes? expensive. I found myself cringing when I walked into name brand kid's clothing stores and saw that they wanted $24 for a shirt that she would grow out of quickly. I knew that I needed to save money.
This is my husband, L. He is a good sport. I collect teapots (that's my largest collection) and often times he will throw out a comment about them overruning our house. Really I have no idea what he's talking about. He's mostly very open about it. He was a little iffy  at first but once he realized what I was finding, what we were actually using..then he opened up a little more about it.
